The Stewart Museum programs and exhibitions have been recognized with a range of awards and distinctions, as has its contribution to Montreal’s culture and tourism.

The SMQ prizes are for to encourage, recognize and reward excellence in museum practice in Quebec. They honor the achievements of members whose efforts have contributed significantly to the advancement of Quebec museology.

2004 - Ulysses Award, Tourisme Québec

For the exhibition “Joséphine, the Great Love of Napoleon".

The Ulysses Award recognizes remarkable achievement in tourism on a regional or provincial level.

2003 - Canadian Museums Association - Reseach category

For the publication “The Art of Teaching Physics: Demonstration Apparatus of Jean-Antoine Nollet (1700-1770)”

Awarded for museum initiatives that contribute to greater knowledge and understanding.
