National Patriots' Day

To celebrate National Patriots' Day (Journée nationale des patriotes), a stop at the Stewart Museum is a must. Take part in the special guided tour, In the Footsteps of the Patriots.

In the exhibition History and Memory, discover one of the richest collections of objects associated with the Patriot movement in Lower Canada. See unique artefacts such as the 1828 petition with 87,000 signatures, the portrait done by the patriot leader Jean-Joseph Girouard of Chevalier de Lorimier and a letter he wrote just a few hours before his execution.

Outside the Museum, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the old buildings that lived through this historic period, and where the British soldiers involved in the conflict with the Patriot insurgents came from.
